Drama Online trial: 390 full text plays now available

DramaOnlineThe Library currently has access to the database, Drama Online, developed in partnership by Bloomsbury and Faber and Faber.

Drama Online provides access to approximately 390 full-text plays by both new writers as well as established names in playwriting history such as Bertolt Brecht, Howard Brenton, Anton Chekhov, Caryl Churchill, Jonathan Harvey, Henrik Ibsen, Mark Ravenhill, Polly Stenham, Tom Stoppard, Timberlake Wertenbaker amongst many others. Search by playwright, genre or time period. Additional tools include ‘Character Grids’ showing which characters appear in what scenes and which lines they speak.

It should be noted that this is a trial (until 21st May 2013) of the Beta site and so is a work in progress – the final launch site will contain much more primary and secondary content.
