To mark One World Week this week, the Library organised displays of South Asian arts on the ground floor and in the Research Commons on the third floor. The materials on display were drawn from the South Asian Diaspora Literature and Arts Archive (SALIDAA).
The archive features collections of South Asian literature, art, theatre, dance and music by British based artists and organisations. Members of the SALIDAA Board, Shyama Perera and Jocelyn Watson, felt that the archive had really “come alive” and they also expressed much enthusiasm for the new Research Commons area.
The SALIDAA materials will continue to be on display from Saturday 25 February for at least another week, after One World Week.
