The Library will be holding information services inductions throughout Freshers week, from Monday to Friday. These half hour long inductions will introduce new students to:
- Logging in to the Brunel Network, and other Computer Centre services
- Accessing u-link for module specific resources (if you’re not already getting an introduction to this in your School)
- Using the Library, including accessing resources via online reading lists, where these are available, and searching for books and journals on Summon
- ASK Academic Skills, for details on where to get study skills help
Inductions times have been booked for students in each School or department. The inductions are often geared toward particular subject areas, so please make sure you come to the session that has been organised for you. Consult your induction timetable to find out exactly when to turn up, or ask at the meeting point on the ground floor of the Library. All students should come to the meeting point at their induction time. You will then be taken to an induction room by a member of staff.
If you miss your induction, or one hasn’t been organised for you, come along to the mop-up sessions that will be held in week 1 on Monday and Tuesday at 10am and 2pm.
