When you use our self issue machines, or log on to your account, you are asked to enter your Library number and your PIN. Your Library number is your card number, and if you ever have a new card issued to you then please remember to tell us so we can update your record.
Having a PIN on your account is optional – you don’t have one by default, and if you haven’t set it you can leave this field blank. We do recommend that you add a PIN, as this is the safest way of protecting yourself from unauthorised borrowing on your account. If you’re not sure how, here’s a quick video demonstration:
