New version of Write-N-Cite for RefWorks users

RefWorks is software for creating a bibliography for your dissertation, thesis, journal article, etc. Using RefWorks will ensure that your references are accurate and it will save you time producing bibliographies. New users should follow the instructions on our RefWorks web pages, see: http://www.brunel.ac.uk/services/library/research/refworks

Write-N-Cite (WNC) is an application that runs as a Word add-in to helps you add citations to their document and create a bibliography. A new version, WNC4, was released last week. We have investigated its installation and use with mixed results. WNC4 should install without a hitch on your laptop but currently it will not install on the University’s networked computers, so we have asked the Computer Centre to investigate this problem. Consequently, we recommend that existing users remain with WNC3 for the time being.

New users may install WNC from the Tools menu after you have logged in to RefWorks. We recommend that you link to the “Previous Versions” and use WNC3 for now because our WNC web page describes this version, see: http://www.brunel.ac.uk/services/library/research/refworks/creating-bibliographies
